The Half Moon Inn Belchamp St Paul

The Half Moon Inn is the quintessential historical English Pub, a stunning thatched tavern overlooking Belchamp St Paul village green. Hanging baskets, thatched roof, leaded windows, low beams and real log fire - it simply doesn't get more English country than this.

Built in the early 16th century, most of the original features of the pub have been lovingly maintained and the pub oozes history. The Half Moon has been at the centre of Belchamp St Paul village activity for more than four hundred years.

Dave, Katrina and the team would like to extend a warm welcome to The Half Moon.

With a combined experience of 22 years in the pub trade we are delighted to have moved to Belchamp St Paul. All our food is freshly made and locally sourced where possible. We have an ever changing seasonal menu that we would love you to try. We also keep local and national real ales to the highest standard.

Kitchen refurbishment

We are having our kitchen completely refitted and refurbished between Monday 15th February & Tuesday 1st March 2016, unfortunately this means that we won't be serving food during this period but the bar will be open and serving drinks as usual.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this might cause but we are looking forward to serving from our new facilities!

Mother's Day

Don't forget Mother's Day is on Sunday 6th March! We will be serving our usual delicious Sunday Lunch menu but booking will be essential, so call us soon to reserve your table.

Easter weekend

Easter lunch

Easter weekend is early this year running from Friday 25th March to Monday 28th March. As Easter Monday is a bank holiday we will be serving lunch from 12noon until 3pm.
